Executive Director Stephen Novotny said, “We are thankful to open the doors of this wonderful new facility; and are thrilled for what this will mean for generations of students to come. We thank God for the generosity of so many who have provided this new facility to help us continue to fulfill our mission of honoring the Lord Jesus Christ by providing students an education based upon academic excellence and biblical values.”
On Wed, May 10, grades K-8 held chapel services in the new Campus Life Center and Gym for the very first time. Second grade students led worship for their chapel with their "STOMP" presentation and alumnus Evan Weppler ('07) spoke to students about the "Signs of our Creator."
On Friday, April 21, 2017, elementary students enjoyed a fun day of field activities including the annual tug-of-war with the help of high school students in the Ephraim, Levi, Issachar, Manasseh and Reuben Warrior Tribes.
On Friday, April 21, 2017, CCS high school Warrior Tribes took part in a full day of school-organized community service. Some of the high school students stayed on campus working with the elementary school for their annual Tribal Wars competition. Other students worked out in the community on specific projects designed for their group. Lindsay Ehrhardt (class of '05) will perform with the A.D. Players in their upcoming production of the classic comedy "You Can't Take It With You." The show runs every Thursday through Sunday in May. Lindsay plays the role of Alice in her first production with A.D. Players. She is thrilled to be working with this well-respected company and in the new A.D. Players theater in the Galleria area.
Mr. Lyle Williams and Mrs. Kathy Wright were elected by the Society to serve on the CCS Board of Directors for three-year terms beginning June 2017. CCS thanks board members Mr. Chad Braun and Mr. Greg Petru for serving the school well as they finish their current terms of board service this May.
Fourteen students in grades 3-5 participated in the area math competition with each student placing. Students qualified for this event by scoring in the top range in the entire six-state region. Congratulations students!
Friends, family members, students and teachers attended this year’s sixth grade Living Wax Museum honoring heroes of our faith and heroes of our history. More than 40 sixth grade students dressed in costumes and gave monologues as a culmination of their unit on biographies at the event.
