Fourth-grade students have been busy learning about the American Revolution. To help them better understand some of the causes of the Revolutionary War, students participated in an exciting role-play activity. Each student randomly received a Role Card to find out if he or she would be a colonist, a tax collector, a member of Parliament, or the King of England.

Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Art Contest Winners - Elementary

On January 8, Cypress Christian School Elementary students participated in the 2017-2018 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Art Competition for Private and Christian Schools. Forty-five schools were represented this year. Ten students earned awards.

Operation Christmas Child 2017

Elementary, middle school and high students participated in the "Operation Christmas Child" project through Samaritan’s Purse. The Christmas boxes will be delivered to children in countries all around the world. This is a wonderful way for students to help send the gospel message to a child in another country. Overall, 169 boxes were packed!

Fifth Grade American Festival

On November 6, 2017, CCS welcomed friends and family members to the 2017 American Festival. This event provided the opportunity for each fifth-grade student to perform an originally and independently written dramatic monologue based on the life of a Civil War character chosen by the student.

Homecoming 2017

Warriors enjoyed a fun week of homecoming festivities including dress-up days, food trucks, games, contests, a bonfire, parades, a pep rally and more. Alumni and families joined the fun on Friday night.

On Wed, May 10, grades K-8 held chapel services in the new Campus Life Center and Gym for the very first time. Second grade students led worship for their chapel with their "STOMP" presentation and alumnus Evan Weppler ('07) spoke to students about the "Signs of our Creator."

On Friday, April 21, 2017, CCS high school Warrior Tribes took part in a full day of school-organized community service. Some of the high school students stayed on campus working with the elementary school for their annual Tribal Wars competition. Other students worked out in the community on specific projects designed for their group. Lindsay Ehrhardt (class of '05) will perform with the A.D. Players in their upcoming production of the classic comedy "You Can't Take It With You." The show runs every Thursday through Sunday in May. Lindsay plays the role of Alice in her first production with A.D. Players. She is thrilled to be working with this well-respected company and in the new A.D. Players theater in the Galleria area.

Thirty-eight elementary students competed in the district ACSI Speech Meet and brought home top honors in poetry, Bible memorization, fable and folklore, and dramatic Bible prose.
