Secondary Spiritual Emphasis Days

Students in grades 6-12 were given an extra spiritual challenge as a part of the annual CCS Spiritual Emphasis Days. The focus of the three days was on “Habitudes.” A “Habitude” is defined as a leadership skill presented in a vivid picture that impacts our habits and our attitudes.

Texas History Students Visit Historical Site

Texas History students took a field trip on Tuesday, December 12, to Washington-on-the-Brazos Historical Park and Star of the Republic Museum near Brenham.

Sixth Grade Sushi and Tea Party

Sixth grade students completed the study of the history of Japan with a ‘Sushi and Tea Party.’ They enjoyed learning about Origami, the Japanese Tea Ceremony, Torii Gates and the history of Japan.

Chemistry Students Celebrate Mole Day

Chemistry students celebrated a unit of measurement known as a mole. Mole Day commemorates Avogadro's Number (6.02 x 10^23) which is used to convert between atoms/molecules and grams. The students had fun creating stuffed moles, naming them, and costuming them appropriately.
